The event serves as a moment to reflect on the significant impact of Dr. King's work and the path that lies ahead in the pursuit of justice and equality.
The event entitled Remembering MLK: The Man. The Movement. The Moment. will be held in the Museum’s courtyard at 5:00 pm Central.
The commemoration includes tributes leading up to a moment of silence, marking the time of Dr. King's untimely death. The program features a keynote speaker whose address will echo Dr. King's dedication to nonviolent activism, special performances that convey the depth of the loss felt, fraternal tributes, and the changing of the balcony wreath at the Lorraine Motel.
